Hope There's No Loose Screw!

It seems that Mom's surgery went well. The doc had to use a few screws (one of which must be removed in six-eight weeks) and a plate. No weight-bearing for all that six to eight weeks too. Egads---not the way Mom planned her summer! (And the thought of having surgery so soon before school starts back to remove that screw and then rehab...ick.)

Anyway, so as of now, a few days in the hospital then Mom's going to Emily's house SW of Houston. Charla and her husband did the trade off of Mom's van, so we're still set to go.

In the meantime, I've made a huge dent in my packing. More packing all day tomorrow too---then a little time with my sister. We have a couple of outdoor activities planned before heading out to TN---hope the storms don't dampen that too much!

But first---off this evening to see a couple more friends to say goodbye to Chris & Bob.
