Sunday afternoon, I had made it home for a late lunch, after working most of the morning, and was catching up on George's Sunday morning show when there was a knock on my door. It was my neighbor to the south, asking if Howard wanted to come over.
Seriously.
My dog is so fortunate to have so many people adore him. Of course, he is quite a cutie.
Naturally, I said yes. (It was no question if Howard wanted to go.) See, my neighbor was going to be hanging out in his backyard, and Howard loves to hang out in the backyard with people. Howard stays quite busy keeping the air space clear (furiously chasing and barking at all birds overhead as well as nearby planes, and we're in quite a flight path for approaching aircraft on the way to Memphis International airport!).
I got a lot of things done around the house then went over myself to visit a little. Howard was happy as could be, running from one person to another, every so often going to check on the kids on the trampoline, chasing birds in the sky, and slowing the process of the car-cleaning being done. (Come now, there was a car with open doors; of course Howard thought that meant it was time for a ride.)
