Happy Anniversary

. . . to Roe v. Wade.

That's right: today marks the 35th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision.

I realize that many people disagree on the issue. But to me, it still comes down to preserving life---with the best balance we've been able to come up with. And if you're at all confused about my meaning, I cannot recommend strongly enough that everyone watch the movie Cider House Rules.

I saw it for the first time while I was in law school, and like with so many other things, that's when I saw a bigger picture than I ever had before. The issues involved became broader, deeper, and much more meaningful.
