Go Red!

Do laundry, and wash your red. Friday, Feburary 1 is National Wear Red Day.

But don't just stop there. Think about the cause--women's heart health. Take care of your own heart and be an example for the other women and girls in your life. The changes you make don't affect only you; you can inspire others to change, and you can set an example for others. You can also extend your own life to be around longer to share in others' lives.

  • Eat healthy foods (whole grains, fresh fruits, etc.).
  • Get some exercise (a short walk is better than sitting on the couch).
  • Don't smoke (enough said).
  • Know your numbers (blood pressure, cholesterol, heart rates, waist:hip ratio).

Do what you can to change the fact that heart disease is the number 1 killer of women in America. You have the power. :-)
